First time viewer of podcast. Content good, video not cool. No curtains, no art on wall, no women. A large percentage of the 600 mb download delivered very little.

Did not try UBUNTU for several years because of gnome interface and awkward network tools. Prefer MEPIS with KDE because of power of network tool and no problems with video, ever, and no download of proprietary drivers necessary. MEPIS just works.

Using Jaunty on laptop because wireless tool finally works. Gnome is nothing special. KDE richer in applications like Amarok, K3B, KTorrent, etc. I can download evolution for MEPIS, anyway.

Thanks for the podcast. I will keep on watching/listening if I can afford the superfast download service on my cable sysem.

Just saw you podcast for the first time. Good quality content. Downloading over 600 mb in iTunes is problematic, especially since video did not contribute much relevant to subject. No curtains, no art on wall, and no women.

Actually I’m running gnome-shell (the new interface for Gnome 3) right now. Even though it’s way before alpha, it’s incredibly stable and breaks nothing. It’s still missing some features like applet support and an easy way to change volume, but they’ve got a year to get those things in place. Also, you can’t run Compiz with it which is really quite a bummer, but I guess those issues will be worked out. Check it out: http://live.gnome.org/GnomeShell
